Final Cut Pro X

Added on by Douglas Ray.

I've been using FCPX on a job recently and I think I quite like it! I'm not sure I'd want to edit a feature film on it, but if you need to edit something quickly and relatively pain free, it's actually a pretty pleasant piece of software to use. It's like editing for non-editors. Even if you've never edited anything in your life, I could probably have you up and running on it in under an hour...

As opposed to FCP7 which I've been using for years, did a week's course in and still forget how to do certain things.

If there was something short, maybe a personal project that needed doing fast, I think I would probably choose FCPX in future.

FCPX. It's better than it looks.
